The bus stops are too far away / routes are inadequate

The nearest bus stop to my house is one mile away, which means that if I was to make a journey by bus I would have at least a 2 miles to walk to/from the bus stop, plus the distance to walk at the destination. My health isn't perfect and this is too far for me to mange, therefore I can't use buses at all, unless the routes are improved. (The area is Nottage, Porthcawl)

I have considered cycling to the bus stop, but I have been told that there is no guarantee that there will be space for my bicycle on the bus on both the outward and return journeys, therefore this option isn't possible.
