Transport for Wales is hosting a series of Bike Events this summer, as part of our ongoing commitment to encourage Active Travel through behaviour change.
The events will be hosted from June to September and will be located at venues right across Wales and Borders. It follows the success of the inaugural events hosted last year which saw over 200 bikes marked across the network and 250 responses to our active travel survey.
The aim of the events - to inspire people to travel more sustainably and challenge themselves to get on a bike, whether that's to cycle to work, study or simply to enjoy a local leisure journey! We’ll be partnering with British Transport Police to provide FREE bike security marking at each event so visitors are encouraged to bring their bikes along.
As well as promoting the benefits of cycling, amenities including cycle parking and active travel routes available at each location, visitors will be able to take part in our active travel survey.
* Join the UK’s national, police preferred, bicycle marking & registration scheme. Find out more here: www.bikeregister.com
