This project explores the experiences that individuals have using trains in the Cardiff region and the south Wales valleys as part of their travel journey.
Trains in the Cardiff region and the south Wales valleys can provide an affordable and eco‑friendly alternative to driving. However, some travellers continue to choose other modes of transport, and we would like to better understand the factors that influence these choices.
Through a short survey, we’re gathering insights on how people perceive travel on trains, what works, what doesn’t, and what we could do to improve it even further. Whether you’re a regular rider, an occasional user, or someone who avoids trains altogether, your perspective matters.
Goals of the project:
• Identify common barriers to train travel
• Understand traveller preferences and challenges
• Highlight opportunities for improving train accessibility and convenience.
Who should participate:
Anyone who travels - by train or otherwise. Your feedback will help shape smarter, more inclusive transport solutions.
As a ‘thank you’ for participating, you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher!
Let’s make public transport work better for everyone.
