Haverfordwest
Pembrokeshire County Council and Transport for Wales are exploring ways to improve walking, wheeling and cycling between Haverfordwest Train Station, Old Bridge, Haverfordwest High School and Swan Square. We're also looking at ways to improve public spaces in this area.
No designs have been created yet. We want to hear from you first. Your local knowledge will help us understand how the area is used today, what works well, what the challenges are, and what should be considered as we start to develop ideas.
The area we're focusing on includes Cartlett, Salutation Square Roundabout, the A40 between Aldi and Haverfordwest Public Transport Interchange, Mill Road, Haverfordwest Public Transport Interchange, Old Bridge and Swan Square.
Have your say
We've launched a short survey to gather your views. It should take around 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and there are no right or wrong answers. You can find it here.
Come and talk to us
We're holding two drop-by events where you can speak to the project team, view information about the proposals, and share your views in person. No need to book, just drop in at a time that suits you.
- Tuesday 10 November, Haverhub, 16:30 - 19:30
- Saturday 14 November, Castle Square (outdoors), 10.00 - 16:00
What happens next
Your feedback will help us understand the needs and opportunities in this area before any design proposals are developed. We'll use what we've learned to shape the next stage of the project. Design and build work is expected to take place over the next 2 to 4 years, and there will be a further round of consultation once designs have been produced.
The survey closes at 23.59 on 22 November 2026.
