We’re seeking views on secure cycle parking
Transport for Wales are working to improve opportunities for walking, wheeling and cycling. Over the next 12 months we’ll be working to improve the availability of secure cycle parking at station locations and want to get your views.
What are we engaging on?
Secure cycle parking simply means an area to park your cycle that’s enclosed and secure, unlike the open stands that you may already see in most public spaces. Secure cycle parking aims to help people feel more comfortable leaving their cycles in public spaces, encouraging more people to undertake their journeys by cycle.
We want to find out:
How the availability of secure parking could influence your decision to cycle
If you cycle, for which journeys you cycle
If having more secure cycle parking would allow you to make new journeys
You can get involved by completing our survey and using our engagement tools.
To help us understand your views we have some questions that we would like you to answer. We have shared a digital map that you can drop pins to show where you would like to see secure cycle parking in the future. You can also post comments in our forum tool.
A chance to enter our prize draw
To say thanks, you’ll also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win:
1st place will win a £100 Love2Shop voucher
2nd and 3rd place will win £50 Love2Shop voucher
Who is organising and who is funding/commissioning the project?
This project is organised by Transport for Wales, who'll use the findings to inform their work on cycle parking later in the year.
